Frequently asked questions
What survey is best for me?
Choosing the right survey depends on the property and your plans for it. If you’re unsure, get in touch and I’ll help you find the most appropriate option
What areas do you cover?
For surveys I generally stay within 2 areas:
– London and surrounding areas to the south west (if unsure reach out and ask)
– Buxton and surrounding areas of approx 1hr (again if unsure reach out and ask)
What is the cost of a survey?
Costs vary depending on the type of survey and the property. Get in touch and I’ll provide a clear, tailored quote with no obligation.
Can you help with renovation projects?
Absolutely. If you’re buying a property with renovation or development in mind, I’m the right fit – thats my background.
If you want more detailed advice or project input, I also offer a separate consultancy service. Please see the consultancy page.
What is RPSA?
RPSA stands for the Residential Property Surveyors Association. It is the largest professional body representing independent residential surveyors, all committed to working to the highest standards.
By choosing an RPSA member, you’re selecting a surveyor dedicated to professionalism, quality, and best practice. For more information, click on the logo above.
Can I use the report to negotiate price?
Yes – this is one of the key benefits of having a survey. If and issues are identified, such as repairs or hidden problems, you can use the findings to support a renegotiation.
We've got questions after reading the report-can you help?
Yes-this is included as part of the service and is something that sets me apart. I’m happy to discuss the findings, explain anything that is unclear, and help you understand your next steps, giving you peace of mind, clarity, and confidence.
